***The older part of the Ashling Hotel on Parkgate Street will be undergoing building works involving a major transformation and will result in 130 new deluxe bedrooms, a new restaurant and bar along with a new façade. Works will commence on Monday 14th January 2008 and take approximately twelve months. During the construction phase it will be "business as usual" albeit on a smaller scale (70 bedrooms) and with some necessary changes to allow the works to take place. From Monday 14th January 2008 the hotel entrance will be accessed from Montpelier Hill at the rear of Parkgate Street. They will also be operating the Cobblestones Bistro and Guinness Lounge bar from here. Any disturbance or disruptions will be kept to an absolute minimum.***
