Emplacement:
The hotel is situated in the heart of Helsinki, opposite the train station and close to Helsinki's main attractions and airport bus stop. This is a high standard hotel in an ideal location with direct access to the department store from the lobby. It should be noted, however, that the hotel can be noisy at weekends due to the hotel's popular nightclub which stays open until the small hours. The hotel is part of a large modern building, also containing a department store, one of the biggest in Finland. It is a typical Helsinki-style building - built for the Helsinki Olympics in 1952 - with a traditional facade. The large semi-circular reception area is decorated in art deco style. There is a large seating area and a large wooden reception desk. The main restaurant, the 10th floor brasserie/restaurant/nightclub is on the top floor and serves breakfast and international food with beautiful views over Helsinki. The restaurant on the ground floor is an American-style diner. The rooms are medium in size. They are in very good condition. The use of pine wood and light colouring give them a warm atmosphere. The bathrooms are also in good condition. 2 km to the nearest fair site (finlandia hall), 2 minute walk to the nearest bus stop, 2 minute walk to the nearest metro station (central railway station), 20 kms to the nearest airport (helsinki-vantaa), Close to the station (railway station).
